GERSON-KETO? FOR CANCER

How the gerson diet protocol works

The Gerson Therapy uses an all-encompassing approach that focuses on treating the causes of disease rather than the symptoms. The approach generally focuses on detoxifying the body of the toxic pollutants and carcinogens that enter our body each day through foods we eat and air we breathe. This is mainly accomplished through diet modification.

Gerson therapy requires following a strict low-salt, low-fat, vegetarian diet and drinking juice from about twenty pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables each day. (source natural news)
Also coffee enemas for reducing toxins & increasing glutathione levels.

How the ketogenic diet works

The premise is that since cancer cells need glucose to thrive, and carbohydrates turn into glucose in your body, then lowering the glucose level in your blood though carb and protein restriction literally starves the cancer cells into oblivion. Additionally, low protein intake tends to minimize the mTOR pathway that accelerates cell proliferation.

This type of diet, in which you restrict all but non-starchy vegetable carbs and replace them with low to moderate amounts of high-quality protein and high amounts of beneficial fat, is what I recommend for everyone, whether you have cancer or not. It’s a diet that will help optimize your weight and all chronic degenerative disease. Eating this way will help you convert from carb-burning mode to fat burning.  source (http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/06/16/ketogenic-diet-benefits.asp

No, it doesn’t always work, but add in juicing & intermittent fasting.

Doctor Gonzales already knew in his own mind that the ketogenic diet didn’t work because of his knowledge of Atkins. Atkins however, ran into the same problem that Seyfried ran into when he first tried it. The cancer cells started to use glutamine. Atkins knew nothing of this, and that is why the patients didn’t respond.

When combined with DON, the cancer in the mouse models was obliterated. We now need to find some herb that works on glutamine just like the DON does in the mouse model

Thanks for commenting! I agree to a certain point. Keto almost always works for brain cancer. Other cancers not so much. And there are at least 3 other doctors that don’t buy into the whole glutamine theory. Mostly because bone broth is full of glutamine, but the health benefits of the bone broth seem to outweigh the glutamine issue. Also you may find this interesting Vince.

      1. Thanks for that Jim. I will certainly read all those articles when I get the chance. Please take a look at this on my site, and my reasoning behind going Keto. You can see the list in the green box of what I have tried, and all failed. https://cancercures.mx/my-ketogenic-journey/
